We evaluate your toothpaste for its ability to restore minerals to demineralized enamel and strengthen tooth surfaces during a 15-day brushing study.

  • Testing: Artificial enamel demineralization followed by a 15-day daily brushing treatment, with surface microhardness measurements, SEM imaging, and SEM-EDS mineral analysis at defined intervals.
  • Data: Enamel hardness recovery (%), remineralization efficiency, mineral deposition profile, hardness recovery trend, and before-and-after SEM images.

  1. Mechanical Brushing Simulation – We provide daily toothbrushing under controlled load, speed, and brushing cycles to evaluate toothpaste performance over time. 
  2. Artificial Saliva Storage – We use specimens in a simulated oral environment between treatment cycles to replicate natural saliva exposure and mineral exchange. 
  3. pH Cycling (Demineralization–Remineralization Model) – Our study model alternates between acidic and remineralizing conditions to mimic daily acid attacks and natural enamel recovery. 
  4. Oral Environment Simulation – We recreate intraoral conditions including temperature, moisture, and treatment intervals to evaluate product performance under realistic laboratory conditions.

Dentinal Tubule Occlusion

We test your toothpaste for its ability to reduce tooth sensitivity by sealing exposed dentinal tubules and forming a protective barrier against external stimuli. This study is designed to support sensitivity relief claims by evaluating both the effectiveness and durability of tubule occlusion.

  • Testing: Human dentin specimens with exposed dentinal tubules are treated using a standardized 15-day brushing protocol. SEM imaging is performed before and after treatment to evaluate tubule occlusion, with an optional acid challenge to assess the durability of the protective layer.
  • Data: A detailed report including percentage dentinal tubule occlusion, tubule diameter reduction, durability after acid challenge, before-and-after SEM images, and quantitative evidence supporting sensitivity relief claims.

  • Long-Term Brushing and Oral Simulation: We perform standardized repeated brushing studies to evaluate enamel wear, surface changes, and long-term formulation performance.
  • pH Measurement: We determine the pH of your toothpaste to ensure the formulation remains within an appropriate range for oral use.

  • Fluoride Content Analysis: We quantitatively measure fluoride concentration to confirm fluoride-free formulations or verify fluoride content where required.
