We don't just test

Early Stage Innovation

We support startups and small companies in transforming ideas into working solutions through proof of concept (POC) development. From low-volume prototyping and MVP builds to pilot runs and design validation testing (DVT/EVT/PVT), we help bridge the gap between concept and mass production.

Research to Products

Our lab conducts environmental testing, electrical stress, mechanical stress and reliability studies, and toxicology safety evaluations to make sure your products are in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

We also can help with small batches to improve a product, test it, and provide feedback before moving to large-scale production. We help small companies integrate their devices into suitable electronic packages, making them market-ready.

Dry Film Thickness (DFT) Edge Coverage ISO Case Study Report

Case Study on Paint Coating Edge Coverage Analysis

  • In this ISO coating quality assurance case study, a customer submitted painted steel panels for dry film thickness (DFT) edge coverage evaluation. The main goal was to verify whether the paint provided uniform protection over sharp edges, where coating is typically thinner and chances of early corrosion.
  • Sectioning of Coated Panel : Cross-sections of the painted edge were prepared to measure coating distribution on flat vs. edge regions.
  • Optical Microscopy : Imaging confirmed thinner coatings at edges compared to flat areas, with some spots showing inadequate coverage.
  • Conclusion: The study, performed in line with ISO 12944 and ISO 2808, verified lower edge coverage and emphasized the need for proper edge preparation and optimized coating application to improve long-term corrosion resistance.

Engineering and Consultancy lab services at Nanowatts

Semiconductor testing nanofabrication facility services in nano science and engineering is clunky, pricey, hard to set up and challenging to use. Countless hours are wasted trying to collaborate and set up experiments for different types of analysis needed, and they often require contacting multiple individuals and institutions to get the desired results. In the end, the analysis process becomes so complex that users may have to start all over.  We offer Nano Science & Research solutions for universities, research institutes, startups and defense sectors participating in Nanotechnology. We also offer material testing characterization services package solutions for research scholars.

Mechanical Analysis Lab

Mechanical Deformation Tests

  • Compressive strength testing to measure the resistance of dental materials (e.g., cements, composites) to compressive forces, simulating biting and chewing.
  • Tensile strength to test material's ability to withstand pulling forces, crucial for materials like dental adhesives and orthodontic wires.
  • Flexural strength testing to check the ability of materials (e.g., dental ceramics and composites) to resist bending forces.
  • Fracture toughness measurement to understand material's resistance to crack propagation, important for ceramics, crowns, and bridges.
  • Hardness testing using methods like Vickers or Knoop hardness tests to determine the surface hardness of materials like composites, ceramics, and dental alloys.
  • Fatigue testing simulation machine for repetitive chewing forces to evaluate the long-term durability of dental materials and devices.
  • Shear bond strength testing to check the adhesion strength of bonding agents, cements, and restoratives to tooth surfaces.
  • Impact strength testing to know how dental materials respond to sudden forces, mimicking accidental impacts in oral use.
  • Elastic Modulus (Young's Modulus) testing to study the stiffness of materials like dental composites, wires, and ceramics.
  • Friction and Sliding wear Testing to check coating of orthodontic components (e.g., brackets and wires) to ensure low friction during movement.
