BET Surface analysis and Application

BET analysis refers to a method employed to determine the specific surface area of materials based on the Brunauer–Emmett–Teller theory. BET surface area analysis is one of the most widely used techniques for characterizing the physical properties of solid materials  BET method measures the amount of gas molecules adsorbed onto a material’s surface under controlled conditions. From this data, the specific surface area, pore volume, and pore size distribution of the material can be determined with high accuracy.
